Never Give a Sucker an Even Break

Some of this is old-hat as far as this mindbending year in music goes - but it's near the end and I'm nostalgic. This particular mixtape is so electronic that it almost hurts. The second song is from 1982 and sounds like it's from now.  I usually hate that heartthumping disco beat but in this case it works out.
Noticeably missing is even one Bowie song or cover.  His absence probably has something to do with my recent unintended viewing of the horrific "Dancing in the Streets" video that really cinched the pants on my summer Bowie boner - for a while at least.
Included is about 15 seconds of Hall 'n Oates for no good reason other than to prove something to my friend Sasha...and to abuse this opportunity to link to the Maneater video. Oh, and to fuck with a Patrick Nagel illustration a little.

The mixtape can be found here: Not a Game of Chance
